ALLEGED ATTEMPTED MURDER
(Per Ukiied Press Association.) AUCKLAND, March 15. A young man named George Hassott, aged 19 years, was arrested to-night on a charge of the attempted murder of his father, Charles ITassett, an Imperial and old-ago pensioner, 75 years of age. It is alleged that during a quarrel l»twoen Hassett and his wife, the son rushed into tho room and discharged a pistol at his father. The bullet entered tho side of tho head, just below tho temple, and father is now in the hospital. His condition is uncertain.
