REGATTA AT WAIHOLA
The entries so far to hand for the regatta, to be held' 'at Wnikola on Friday, March 25, are '.cry satisfactory, and the committee expeat that a record will be established. The Motor Launcih Race 19 creating quite a, lot of interest both locally and at Waihola, and the inclusion of this itom in this year's programme will be an Additional attraction to those who visit the Lake. The intending competitors are all hard at work training for (lie rowing event*, and rowing men state that the sport is in a very flourishing condition at present, and the public can be assured of a good day's sport on the, 2,'lrd inst. Tho cheap fares axe arranged for as from the 21st inst. to the 24th inst., and this will »ivo any who will be attending tho excursion to Tstieri Mouth on Saturday a chance of taking advantage of the holiday fares. The committee are putting in a lot of work to make the regalia a success, and they ire relying on i\\z sport-loving publio to attend at Waihola. in big numbers. Picnic parties aro advised that the committee provide hot water free, and ior a day's outing it would be very hard to find a, place.more suitable than Waihola. and on the 23rd there will be the additional attraction of a first-clas9 regatta.
