Tho evidenco has been very mystifying as to whether tho body is that of Steel or Anderson. Sergeant Crawford, of Clyde, had sovoral witnesses from that part appearing, and it is considered very doubtful if the body found is Anderson's. Tho police can find no traco of Steel. Inspector Grefia has been watching the proceedings during both days, and Messrs Hutton (of Clyde) and Brodrick, solicitors, arc appearing in tho case. Tho jury liad retired for about an hour to consider their verdict, and had not returned at 4.35 p.m. (Per United Pms Association.) lIOIiITIKA, Fobrnary 15.
