A CHURCH SOCIAL.
An enjoyable gathering waa held, in the Dundas Stroet Primitive' Methodist Church last evening, whon the officors of the church entertained the choir at a social. Mr j. Milieus (representing tho congregation) and Mr W. King (representing the. trustees) spoke of the valuable services rendered by the choir, and of the excellent relations existing between that'body and tho rest of the congregation. During the evening the. Rev. W. Laycock (on behalf of th« congregation olid choir) presented Miss Bennett (organist) with a gold watch and chain in appreciation of the valuable sen-ices rendered by her during tlio past tlireo years. Hr Wilkinson responded on behalf ot Jliss Bennett, Refreshments too tlion l'st-ndcd round. Several sclccticns wero rcndcrcd' by members of tho choir during tlio evening, and tho proceedings closed with tho singing of a lymii nnd 1 tlio pronouncing of tho benediction.
