EGG-LAYING COMPETITIONS.

Tho statement for nineteenth week of the New Zealand Utility Poultry Club's Egglaying competition at Lincoln College shows that 1024 eggs were laid during tho week, making a total for 19 weeks of 9663, or an averago of 254.4- per pent. During the nineteenth week of the New Zealand egg-laying competition, 2725 cgss wero laid, and tho grand aggregate brought up to 27,872. Tho weather has boon unfavourable, nnd for the first time the weekly average declined instead of ascending, the figures being 27.25 as against 27.69 last week-. Mr Leger's white Leghorns uro still leading with 533, Sir BrooLVs white Leghorns being second with 494-, There is another change with respcct to third plnco. Mr Hockey's brown Leghorns, from Nelfon, with 415, passing Mr Draper's buffs, which registered 414. The'A. and P. Association's white Leghorns iio for fourth place.
