' Thursday, February 10. \ (Before Mr H. Y. Wicklowaon, S.M.) i Drunkenness.—For this offence three firs ■ offenders were fined 10s, or in default 48 hours i iinrn-iaonnicnt. Obstructing the Police.—Ernest "Williams , charged with obstructing Constable Curtis i i the execution of his duty, was fined 20s, o in default seven days' imprisonment.—Th evidence disclosed tiiat accused essayed t prevent the arrest of one of his shipmates. Breach of City By-laws—James M'Cluskej who did not appear, was fined 20s, with cost (7s), on the charge of leaving his cab un attended.—ln the evidence of a polico con stable it was stated that defendant said t him, " It is a nice thing a man cannot go ii and get a beer without the polico inter ferine;." A Pak-a-poo Case.—On tho application o Mr Hay, charges against Lee Sun and Joi How of committing a breacli of the Ganiini and Lotteries Act were further adjourned til March % pending decision in an appeal witl respect to a conviction in a similar prosccu tion. Prohibition Orcfer.—A prohibition order, t< apply in Dunedin and Caversham districts was granted against a woman on her husband'! application.
