CHARITABLE AID BOARD.

, ■ — I —**> Tho monthly meeting of the Oharitablo Aid Board was held yesterday; presentMessrs P. Miller (clifcirmftu), J. Haztett .T Sim, W. Burnett;, C. Samson, W. "Wills, J. J. Mnrlow, W. Hay, J. M. Beg-g, and J. Hunter. The bank .book showed a credit balance of £339 15s 2d. ; A subsidy of £467 Is 6d was received ' from tho Government. ' The Secretary of the Benevolent Institu--1 tion Trustees wroto asking tho board to forward a clicque 'for the monthly contribution during tho first week of each month,— Received. It was resolved to write to the Bruce County Council reminding it that it was behind time with its payments. Tho following "payment* were passed:— Benevolent Institution, £625 (month) • Caversham Industrial School. £765 9s lid (three mortths): To . Oranga Industrial School, Christchnreh, £4 17s 6(1 (three months); Christchnrch Receiving Home, £4 17s 6d (three months); Female Refuge, Dunedtn, £6 10s (matron's salary for month); Burnham Industrial School, £4 4s 6d (three months). . HOSPITAL BOARD. The meeting ,of the Hospital Board' was attended by Messrs P. Miller (chairman), •T. J. Marlow, 0. Samson. TV. Wills, W. Hay, .T, M. Begg, and J. Hunter. The bank book showed a debit balance or £276 17s lid. A snlisidy of £243 Os 9il was received from tho Government. The Hospital Trustees' claim of £500 for January was passed for payment.
