(FEOM OUB OffS CORRESPONDENT.! February 13. The window-smashers were in evidence again 011 Sunday morning. About 3 aim,.',they paid, another (the third) visit to Sir J: H. Appleby's business place, and after removing the shutters (which he had bade since the last breakage) smashed the large plate-glass pane and three smaller ones,-including the glass door. Two large stones and a Jump of willow stick some 3ft long were • found inside the place. They (or some others) next proceeded to 3lr Alppleby's private residence, wine quarter of a mile distant, where. lie has. tp large apiaries; The miscreants deliberately poured kerosene over the hives.. Rumour with her busy tongue says the apiaries' represent a monetary value of some £50 to £00. The police have the, matter in hand, and as Mr App&by is offering.a. Toward of £Z) it is to be hoped the perpetrator will- be soon brought to justice. . The weather has now taken a decided change for the better. Last week we bad some very hot chvv«.
