— The most northern lighthouse In Great Britain, the north-west tower on the^ coast of Shetland, is cmo of the most interesting of latter-day sea marka. It is built on a rock 200 ft high, the summit of which barely affords'room'for the necessary buildings. Tho rock itself lias the appearance of a gigantic iceberg, and seen from a distance the lighthouse, perched on its narrow summit, apnears more like an ordinary whito hat on 'a giant's head than anything else. Yet the tower is no less thaei 50ft high, and cost over £30,000 to erect.
