I ♦ . .1 THE WELLINGTON UNION'S ACCIDENT FUND. * '(Per United Press Association.) WELLINGTON, April 28. The Wellington Rugby Union has for some : lime had under consideration a scheme for • providing an allowance to football players injured during matches played under the auspices of.the union. To-night the matter was dis- ■ cussed and put on a definite footing. The j arrangement arrived at provides for a subscrip- < tion of .one guinea, each from teams entered ■ for the Senior, Junior, Third Class, and Fourth Class competitions, and 10a 6d for Filth Class teaks. Teams taking part in the Wednesday competition to also pay one guinea. An allowance off! per week up to 10 weeks is to be paid to any injured player. Free medical J attendance will be provided in case of minor ' injuries. The union will pay £20 yearly into ' the fund, and make provisions for senior and ' junior representative teams. The usual sum of £1 Is was donated to the Association Referees' Club. Mornington Club was granted the us> of the association's goal nets for Saturday next, and Roslyn for the •< following Saturday. The resignation of Mr P. ' Colder as a member of the committee, owing ', to his removal from Duncdin, was accepted with regret. Mr T. Ashton was elected to the vacant i position. Messrs T. Irvine (Green Island) and , J. M'Millan (Wakari) were elected members of ! committee in accordance with by-law 8.
