YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION.

Tho monthly meeting of the board of the Young Men's Christian Association was well attended, Very satisfactory reports were 10ceived of the work being carried on under the association's auspices—namely/ Harriers' Club • (who just started tlicir second season of Saturday runs, and bid fair to have a prosperous ; career), the Literary Society (with their weekly meetings on Friday evenings and a, syllabus ■ for, tho session that should augur well for success), and tho Saturday night Bible class (which is still maintaining its popularity with the members, awl proves a great boon to tho association). Sunday night open-air work is carried . on as opportunity offers, and fo give greater effect and constancy to this work, as also to . further the interests of mission and general ' aggressive work, a strong and enthusiastic <iggress"ivo committee has been appointed. ! Finance also received due consideration, and , in order to have this put on a satisfactory footing a special committee was formed to bring 1 up ft report to an early meeting of the board. ■ The secretary reported having issued about 450 ' copies of tho annual report to the business ] community, and it is anticipated that this will i appeal to the practical sympathies of all.
