SHORTHAND WRITERS' ASSOCIATION.

. : -o — ! The annual meeting of tho Dunedin Shorthand Writers' Association, was held in tho Normal School last night, there being a fair attendance. The annual report and balance sheet (already published) were read and adopted, the balanco sheet showing a credit balance of nearly i' 3. The following office-bearers were clccicd:-President. Mr A. W. Kitson; vice-presidents—Messrs G. Bell, P. Horcus, T. J. Rossbolham, A?. C. Walker, and S. Bridgeman; 'Ron. secretary ami treasurer, Mr W. A. Wood; auditor, Mr P. Horcus; librarian, Miss Nivenj committeeMessrs Gordon, Smith, Macl/ean, and Misses -Burns, Maxwell, and A. Stewart, It was announced that the nights of meeting for the session would be Tuesdays and Fridays,.and tho session to be oponed on Tuesday, the sth !Tay, with an address. A vote of thanks to the chairman closed the proceedings. j
