HONEY AND VINEGAR.
TO THE EDITOR. Sin,—lb was ratter cruel for a man with so sweet a name as your correspondent•"E< G. Honey," in your issue of the 11th hist, to write so bitter a diatribe against tie women. Nevertheless, "honey and vinegar" make a very good mixture to •clear th«' throat and strengthen the voice, bo I hops the women will take a little of it so that they may be enabled to lift up their voices with still greater emphasis on behalf of liberty and justice to the sex.
Perhaps next time Mr Honey writes to you he will preach a little homily on the! duties of the men:— (1) Should not they "maike themselves lovable"? (2) Should! not they be "good house-bonds"? (3) Should not.they bo "good fathers"! Suc.h a preaohment would be at least as timely'and appropriate as his last letter.— I am, eto., Dunedin, April 13. J. T. Hiktok.
