THE CLUTHA PRESBYTERY.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l did not see tho note from "Balolutiha" in yesterday's paper in time to write you for to-day's issuo. Tlie faote re the clerkship. of the Clutha, Presbytery are these: Dr'.Bannerman wai elected clerk in 1865, arid resigned.-in 1863,' from which- date the office was held;by Mr Alhn-'till.the inifirmifcire of old ago led to his retirement from the aotive duties of the ministry in 1901. The mistake in. the Times' report arose through my forn-ardirig to the printers the original copy of the minute. As soon, however, as I read it through. I. noticed the error, and made the necessary correction in my copy to Mrs Bannermau, to the Outlook, and to the two local papers. Did " Balclirtha " not see either of the latter?— I am, etc., Balolutha,Maroh-2i. ' S. \V. Cubrie.
