MEETING OF SOCIETY.

The LeiUj Lodge, 3Co. 4, held its fortnight!; meeting in ilia' Oddfellows' Hall on Mcadaj liight, N.G. Bro. 11, Potter presiding. Then was a fair attendance, and a pleasant cveninf was spent. Correspondence and accounts wort received, and tho ln.tter passed [or payment G.S. Bro. AV. Hold was reappointed the lodge de lC gate on the United Friendly Societies' Dis pensary Board, and the matter of tlic Jlcdica Institute was left over until after the Granc Lotlgo session, An invitfition was rccoivec from tho Unity Lodge to he present at a socia tendered to P.O. Bro. J. 11. Hinton, who ii to represent the South Otago district a! Auct land. It was reso.ved to pay an official visi l to them 011 tlieir next lodge night. B Feil for his attendance, to which he responded During the evening the balance sheet for tin past year was presented, which showed thi lodge to be in a very satisfactory position, botl financially and numerically.
