It is reported here that the southern portion of the national purse to Mr Secldon i will be .presented to him on bis arrival ' ill Christehurch from Hnnmer Springs at . the beginning of next week, along with an illuminated address. DOCTORS IN CONFERENCE. (Per Unwed Press Association.) NELSON, March 4. The members of tho Medical Association Conference were driven into the country yesterday afternoon. In (he evening three papers were read, mostly of a technical nature, but tho press were excluded, ns they will also be from the annual dinner this evening. This morning a. paper was read oh the eollcction* and storage of rain for household purposes. The Health Officers' Conference met yc.?- 1 terday afternoon, and was continued to-day. The 'following were present:—Drs Jjason (chief), M'GiU (Auckland),. Messrs Valentino and (lilrutli (Wellington). Drs Frengloy (Nelson), Finch (Ciiristchurch), Ogston (Dunediu), Jlorrice (Greymouth), Andcrion (Blenheim). The press were excluded. The questions : dealt with concerned departmental matters cliicHy.
