<?* ■ (Per United Press Association.) TKENTHAM. March 4. The animal mooting of the Defence Force Rifle Association commences to-morrow, and | promises to be unusually interesting. The ' entries so far number 335, and considerable ! poßt entries arc' expected, so that the fircrs will mimbcr about 50 more than last year. A'arious improvements have been effected in the outside arrangements to minimise pre- | vious defects, atui four additional targets • have lieen erccted, making a total of 29. The Bisley system of scoring cards for endi shooter has been adopted this year for the first time, and is expected to facilitate the official work. Tlio general arrangements appear satisfactory. The weather is fine, . and promises well for to-morrow. It is impossible to-liight to get the number of exchampion!) i attending, but amongst others j may be mentioned the tivo Biillingers, Hviie (last year's champion), King (Oamaru), Oltey (l'nranaki). Hawthorne, who came next to Hyde last year, will not he present. The Belt competition commences at 10 o'clock with the Auckland Match.
