RICKARDS'S VAUDEVILLE COMPANY.

The fame of ffic strongest man in the world, tho famous Sandow, is in itself sufficient guarantee of largo audiences apart from tho excellence of the programme provided by tho Rickards's Vaudeville Company at His Majesty's Theatre, and on Thursday night and last evening the curtain rose beforo crowded houses. Tho encores were very numerous on both occasions, and deafening applause greeted each successive feat of strength exhibited by Sandow, he being cheered, continuously at tho close of his performance. His various items have already been described, and each one in itself is marvellous. The performance on the Roman column and that known as "the tomb of Hercules" seemed lo specially interest the audience, a3 in these the great strength of' Sandow is more apparent to the eye. The othct items of the programme all call for special mention, but the most prominent, were the clever and'laughable sketch "When Two Hearts are Won" by Mr and Mrs Sidney Drew, the performance of Mr Mark Anthony in his " drawing room entertainment," the many excellent animated pictures shown by the splendid bioscope r.nd the concertina entertainment provided by Professor MacCann, whoso expo3W tions of the art of concertina playing were saluted with Topeatcd encores. A matineo performance will be given this afternoon, when children will be admitted to all parts of the theajro at half-price. Mr Saiidow's pupil, Mr Young, will also give a special demonstration of the use of tho Sandow system of physical culture oh the Choral Hall. Thero will.be a change of programme for this evening's entertainment
