SOCIAL AT MILTON.
The fourth annual social of the Loyal Milton Lodge, M.U.1.0.0.F., was held in the Skating Rink on Friday evening, and was an unqualified success. Everything went with a swing from start to finish, and the committee are to be'congratulated upon their efforts in securing such a harmonious effect. The decorations which bedecked the hall converted the rude rafter and blank walls into a forest scene, ■hung with festoons and fairy lamps, emblazoned with the lodge mottoes and innumerable flags. Over IGO couples took part, and the music as supplied by Messrs Yates (piano), Flint (violin), and Brundell (clarionet) was' unanimously voted of the divine order. Mrs Bewley supplied the refreshments in her usual satisfactory manner. P.G. Bro. J. Paul was marshal, and had associated with him as M.C.'s P.G. Bro. W. Alcock, Bro. J. Wright, and Bro. R. Bowie, and they carried out their duties as expeditiously as possible. Visitors were present from, the Hand and Heart Lodge (Dunedin), Loyal Dalton Lodge (Balclutha), and the local lodges, and during the evening returned thanks to the. home lodge for their hospitality..The oominittce who had charge of the arrangements were as follows: —Messrs J. Breck, J. Paul, W. Alcock, R. Bowio, E. Brady, E. Ransome, J. Wright, J. Gray, A. Jones, J. Keen, J. Hagen, and C. L. Grant.
