ARBITRATION COURT.
(Per Usited Press Association.) OHRISTCHURCH, July 1. The Arbitration Colirt opened this morning before Mr Justice Cooper and Mr, S. Brown (employers' representative), Mr Slater (the employees' representative) was absont on account of illness in, his family. The judge considered if-inexpedient" to hear disputes in the absence of Mr Slater, and adjourned the court, ■; '• ■ When the Arbitration/Court -resumed in tho afternoon his. Honor, said that lie-had received information that Mr Slater would bo unable to be present- for at least a' fortnight. He therefore adjourned tlie Kaiapo; dispute for 14 days, and all other disputes until July 23. , ." :
