THE MILITARY CARNIVAL.

Tile attendance at tho military carnival bliows no sign of diminishing, and last night it was again necessary to turn large numbers away. Apparently Signor Botzoni'a spectacular display is tho main attraction, and the move* ments of tUo dancers are followed with the greatest interest. Tho stalls havo been replenished, and quantities of more or less useful and ornamental articles arc tbero to tempt tho nimble shilling from tho pocket ol the patron. The committee are making another appeal to their lady friends (for cake? and sweets to Testock the refreshment stall, and doubtless this will be responded to with tho usual liberality. It should be remembered that during the afternoon admission to the carnival is free. The date of dosing down is not yet decided on, and probably the promoters will keep opcu as long, as it is profitable to do so.
