TO THE EDITOR. Sir,—l-.was very sorry to see by tho papers that liquor is to be supplied to the returning troopers, after tho earnest entreaty of Lord Roberta to the contrary. Quo poor young fellow who was never known to drink before—one of the returned troopers—was treated everywhere with drink by his sorailed friends till for three months he was licver sober, and has now become a victim to tho drink curee. Better had ho filled an honoured gravo on the battlefield than to n I a dishonoured drunkard's gravo.
