The amount of revenue received at the custom houso to-day on goods cleared for consumption was £647 8s 3d.

Business in the import market during the past week has been fairly active after the temporary stoppage resulting from tlio Easter hc.lidii3'S. As on Wednesday last we published our mail summary giving a full and detailed report of the position of the import market, and nothing has since transpired calling for special notice, we refer onr readers to our issue of that dale for any market information required.

DUNEDIN HORSE SALEYARDS, Weekly Report.

Wright, Stephenson, and Co. report as follows:— A moderate number of horses were entered for this week's sale, most of Ihem of tho lighter sort of harness horse, and there were also some useful but aged draughts on tho catalogue. Business was fairly good, and a considerable number of the light horses changed hands at from £7 to £11, two or three extra strong at from £14 lo £18. We can recommend consignments of good up-standing-young lmriioiis horses at the present lime, as the inurkot is very bare, and wo have several private inquiries. First-class draught geldings, young and staunch, for town work, are also wauled; and if a consignment of heavy shaft horses come forward just now they would command good prices. We quote:—Superior young draught geldings, £35 lo £40; extra good prize horses, £40 to £45, medium draught marcs and geldings, £24 lo £32, aged do, £14 to £20; upstanding carriage horses, £25 to £30, wellmatched carriago pairs, £50 to £65; strong spring-van horses, £16 to £24; milk-cart and butchers' order-cart horses, £12 to £18; tram horses £8 lo £12; light hacks. £5 to £10; oxtr.-i good do, £15 to £20; weedy and aged hacks and harness horses, £1 10s to £3 10s.
