CASUALTIES.
William Olsen, aged three years, set Ore to some gorse at Mitchelltown, Wellington, and getting too,near the Barnes his dress caught. The child was very severely burned, and died in the hospital from the injuries.
A young m»n named John O'Grady has just died in the Timaru Hospital from the effects of injuries received through being thrown from a horse in. the streets, of Timaru. In falling bis head struck the guatd post of a verandah, and his head was so badly injured that from the first little hope ,waa entertained of his ultimate recovery.
