SCHOOL COMMITTEES.

Tbe monthly meeting of the Arthur street School Committee was held last night, and attended by Ulessrn Simpson (chair—*-), Crawford, Cameron, Burt, Stcuthers, Mason, Sligo, aod th. Rev. L. J. Harrison. The head master reported that the sverage attendance for tbe psat four week. W.i: Boys, 277; girl., 258 ;— tofc»l, 535. Mr Begg repotted having visited the school, and having fou-td everything working satisfactorily. Messrs Scoones and Stout were appointed a Visitiug Committee for next month.
