I am very much mistaken if there is not something very wrong with at least one of oar State schools—or perhaps I should say the npper standards ; the lower standards, I am informed (under a lady teacher), are well up in their work. I may state that this is written solely for the benefit of the rising generation.—l am, &c, March 7. Isteeested. [For the information of out correspondent, we may state that the reports of the examinations are copied in the Education Office, and a copy sent to each membar of the board. The board baa a committee to deal with reports, and when the report on any school is unfavourable this special committee renorts to the Ednc&tion Board,—Ed. Q.D.TJ. j
