PICNIC.

The employees in Messrs Morris and Seelye's factory with their friends held their picnic at Warririgton on Saturday. About 400 boarded a special train. Mr D. Finkerton accompanied the party. Games and races were indulged in during the day. The committee, headed by Mr B. Slater, did their best to make everyone feel at home. The railway arrangements were perfect, and thanks ate due to the guard far his attention. Mr and Mrs Stockton bad charge of the tea arrangement?, and tried to please all. Two ladies who missed the train took the express to Waitati and bravely walked the rest of the journey. Mr Seelye, being indisposed, was unable to be present. The committee tender thanks to the donors of prizes, which were won as follow :—
