Th 3 wheelers at. the Lambton mine have given 14 days' notice of their intention to strike for an increase of wages. Ttia owners of the coffee plantations in the Naw Hebrides, and New Caledonia are importing Japanese labour in preference to thn local article. The first shipment has left Batavia. The strike at the Borwood colliery has been Battled. The wheelers obtained most of their demands.
