DUNEDIN AMATEUR SWIMMING CLUB.
The preliminary heats of the third race (distance, 150 yarde) in connection with above clnb took place at St. Clcir Baths last eveuirig, and resulted as under :— First Heat— R. Bolton, scr, 1; J. G. Macdonald, Haec, 2. Also started: H. Fisher 9sec, C. Stables 2l3ee. Won easily. Time, 2min 13sec Second Heat—H. Slaitland, scr, 1; F. Given, 7sec 2. Also started: W. Belcher Msec, K.Sise lGsec, P. Spraggon 22jec. Won by a few' yards; » close go for second place between Given and Bsloher. Time, 2min ISteec. Third Heat—O. MoUer3sec and W. Rica scr, .dead heat. Also started: A. Howden 12scc, W. Wurr 26scc. This was a splendidly contested race, Moller and Rice werettte only two to finish; Time. 2miii 17sec. The final heat takes place at St. Clair this (Wednesday) evenius; at 7.15. The winner receives a priza of the value of £1 Is and 5 points, second 3, Kurd 1. The points already gained are.: H. Mnitland 6. F. Given 5, R. I Bolton 3, O. A. MoHsr 3, W. Rice 1. There i will also be a boy's race to-night. . . ■ . .
