The weekly meeting of the canitnitoee of tho Ofcago Rugby Union,' held yesterday, was attended by Messrs Chisholm (president), Gallaway, Duncan, Isaacs, M'Laren, Montgomery, Strong, Torrance, andHutchison. A sub-commit-tee was appointed to arrange for the reception atid entertainment ef the Auckland team. The Flag Committee reported that the Gresn Islaud, Warehousemen, Taieri, and Pirates Second had qualified for the semi-final round of the Junior Flag contest. The draw for the semi-final was made, with the result that the Taieri were drawn to meet ths Warehousemen aud the Green Island to meet the Pirates Secsnd. '' Plsying Association rules the Rangers met the Zealandia ou the latter's ground on Saturday, and defeated them by 3 goals to 2. The losers played, three second men. The ground was in such a terrible condition that good play was out of the question, but the Zealandia made a capital stand. Mr Pollock refereed.
