Sir, —I have no desire to continue this correspondence, bnt I would congratulate Mr H. S. Fish on his more careful definition of his position and vieiv of the question under disoussion. I have no fear but tnat if at present there are any minor points of difference between us these too will fade away. Long before Mr Insh has been as many years in the temperance struggle as I have beco he will as far advauco from his present position as he has progressed from the starting point of 12 months ago, for by persevering in the obligation under which he has written, " This is tbe obligation thst I have taken, and which (0.V.) I will do my utmost to carry out," he will find the elements of the most advanced sentiments of cur philanthropic and self-sacrificing movement when, by patient study, be has thoroughly analysed it.—l nm, Duscdin, July go.
