Sydney,' July 23. There is'much excitement in the city and suburbs, where caudidate3 are holding their final meetings to-night before the polling to-morrow. Mr" G. H. Raid, the Premier, has addressed an immense meeting and received an. enthusiastic hsaring. ' , <..:''""V .BANK MEETING. ' At the annual meeting of the City Bank the chairman said that the report showed that the business of the institution was growing, and tbat its position was stronger tnan ever. -■ The strictest economy was being exercised in view of the decreased dividends, which from the present outlook there seemed littla hope of increasing. Brisbane, Jaly 23. Mr Wragge has issued ah urgent forecast predicting a' severe Antarctic disturbance and very heavy, weather between Australia and New Zsaland, south from Sydney. The shipping in New Zaaland ports is specially warned.
