j There wag a largo attendance at the court- | house, Milton, yesterday, when Minnie Dean, iof Wiafcoa, was brought up on remand on a j charge of unlawfully murdering Eva I-lorusby lon or about the 9th insfc. Mr Hanlon appeared j for the accused. Detective H'Grata applied for a remand to Invercargill, explaining that the case had been remanded to Blilton when it was thought the body would be found at Clarendon. Since fchnn, however, the body had been found a'o Wintou, and he therefore asked that the case be remanded back to Invercargiil. Mr Eankm offered no objection to the application, and the accused was remanded to I appear at luvercargiil on .Thursday, 23rd mat. (Psit United Pekss Association.) .Invercabgill, May 16. Charlos Osan-was charged in tha Police Court this morning with tha murder of two infants, and remanded on the application of the police till the 23rd inst.
