The Junior Flag match, Taieri v. Otakia, played on Saturday last, was won by the former by 12 points' to nothing. The Owaka Clnb defeated the Star of the South at Owaka on Saturday by 30 points to 5. It should he mentioned' that the Stars were greatly handicapped by the absence of three of the fastest men iv the team. The following players will represent Zealandia in the match against Rangers A team on the Exhibition ground to-day:—Goal—Rams-ay ; full backs —B. and J. Hutton; half backs—Churchill, Adams, Barnett; forwards— Dawson, Malcolm, Hutton, Breen, Jackson. The following referees have been appointed for to-day's Association matches: —Rangers A v. Zealandia, Mr A. White; Rangers B v. Northern, Mr J. Duncan. A Wellington telegram states that the Rugby ; Union passed a resolution in f avonr of home | and home' matches with Canterbury and leaving arrangements to the Management Committee. It is understood the match will be made an annual fixture.
