Eggs.—Market supplied at last quotations.

Butter. —Fresh : Has fair inquiry at 6d to 7d, any farmers' lots would find ready sale ; salt butter is practicably unsaleable, although a few small lots are moving off.

Potatoes.—Market fully supplied; inferior, £2 5s to £2 15s ; best, £'i to £3 ss.

Poultry.—Very heavy supplies forward, but nil sold at following quotations. Hens, 2s 3d to 2s !)d ; young cocks, 2s 3d to 3s li; ducks greatly in over supply, 2s 9d to 3s; extra prime birds brought 4s ■ geese, 6s to 7s; Turkey hens, 4d to 5d per lb ; Cocks, 6d to Sd.

Fruit.—Continues in over supply. Local apples are scarcely saleable at 2s to 3s per case ; Plums, Id to ljd, extra prime, 2d ; Peaches, 3d to sd; Apricots, 4d to stl; Peas, 3d to 21d; latter price for best Bonchretien only ; Tomatoes in over supply at li to 2d ; Pines, no inquiry at Ss. Business generally shews a decided improvement on last week, although we wen; then fairly busy. In our drapery and furniture department all hands are kept busy. We have just landed yesterday a large stock principally consisting of blankets, sheetings, calicoes, velveteens, and hosiery. This we will endeavour to open by Saturday. Our friends will find it worth their attention. We have also just taken delivery of the balance of our purchase of ladies' and men's macintoshes. We can unhesitatingly claim that these are far below half price.
