All quotations subject to market fluctuations :— Wheat: Samples of the new crop from the north are coming in freely. Quality is Al, but prices are not encouraging, neither do we see much chance of improvement. Velvet, 2s BJd to 2s 9d ; Tuscan, 2s 8d; red chaff, 2s7jd to Sd. Oats : no improvement to note. In the meantime buyers are not anxious to buy even at reduced quotations Prime milliDg, Is 4Jd ; best feed, Is 3Jd to Is 4Jd ordinary, Is 3Jd to Is 3Jd. Barley :Wo business passing at present. Potatoes :Market well supplied. Derwents, 55s to 60s ; kidneys, 50s to 555. Grass seed : Ryegrasa—Plenty samples offering, but holders ask more than buyers a^e inclined to give, hence little business. Machine dressed— Perennial, 3s 6d to 4s; undressed small shotty seed, is 8d to 3s; medium and dirty lots from 2s to 2s Ud. Our machine is making grand work, with a smaller percentage of loss than any other machine in Otago. Cocksfoot: We are prepared to quote for laree or small lines; samples on application. Values ranee from 4d to 4Jd for good s-eed. Chaff: Supplies in excess of demand. Really good chaff hsi« been sold at 45s this week. We quote prime we'l cut (old), 47s (!d to 50s ; new, 45s ; medium, from 30s upwards. KRUIT AND PRODUCE REPORT. Eggs: Fully 3d per dozeu lower than last ■week. Butter : Fresh—Supplies of good fresh wanted. Can place at full market rates Salt—We have inquiry for some really good dairy-made butter at 6d ; other qualities neglected at 5d to 5Jd, Cheese : Factory—4Jd for medium, 5d for loaf: Akarou, 4d. Onions : Victorian, 7s. Fruit : Supplies fair and prices low. Plums, dark or light, 3s 6d; pineapples, ss; Italian oranges, 245; lemons, 22s lid; tomatoes, 2d to 1 3d.
