At the Tapanui races on Thursday Outram won the Novel Race, paying a dividend of £6, and Why Not the District Trot, the dividend being £2 lls. Reflection 6.10 beat Jane Eyre 6.12 and Wild Wave 8.7 in the Grand Stand Handicap, one mile, paying £* lls. Yesterday, when the races were continued, the Farmers' Plate was won by Hard Times from eight others; ■ dividend, £41 lls. Stockfish 7.2 won the Stewards' Handicap,: Wild Wave.B.lo being; I second and Reflection'B.o third; dividend, £1 14s. The Two-mile Trot fell to King Cole (£4[ Bs), and the Tapanui Racing Club Handicap was annexed by Stockfish, the other places being filled by Paramu and Wild Wave, and the dividend being £117s.
