Press Association—By Tele»lraph-l-Copyriirht. Sydney, January 22. The Seamen's Oonferenoe is taking steps to bring pressure to beir on the Postal Conference to secure the rigid exclusion of coolies from vessel engaged in mail contracts.
The conference is at present chiefly engaged in considering the balance sheets of the unions iis the various colonies. The finances of the unions iv New South Wales, Victoria, and South Australia are in a fair condition, but ths unjoos in New Zealand acd Queensland are iv such a position that it ia proposed to sand organisers to bot)i tliesa colonies.
