COUNTRY SALES.
Tiie Fajoikks1 Agency Company (Limited) held their regular fortnightly sals at. Clinton on Thursday last, and penned 2150 sheep. The demand was clack, and prices ruled in favour of buyers. Crossbred ewes sold at 7s; swo-tootb crossbreds (small). Es, 5s 10d, and 7s 6d. The next sain will be held ou Thursday, the 31st inst. They also held their regular monthly sale at tho Hiddlcmarch yards en Friday last. There wa^Jl good entry of csttfe, but no sheep, Cattle buyers were plentiful, ami a clearance was made of all yarded as follows :— 12 bullocks (young). £A 10s : 13 do, £A Us ; IB two-year-old bullocks, £'i Us: 14 yearlings, £2 {is; 11 two-year-old heifers, £3; 23 two and three-year-old bullocks, £4 lls ;15 do, £4 G3; 17 small do, £3 15s. The next sale will be held on Friday, 15th February, at 1 o'clock sharp.
