Tho following decisions of the Commissioner of Trade and Customs under the Tariff Acts are Gazetted :—C.ittla foods, as provisions not othervise cuumcratod, 20 per cent.; emery grinding machines for sharpening teeth of reapingmiichiucs, K3 machinery u.0.e., £0 per cent. ; hangers and brackets for Hftiis milk cams, as hardware, 20 per rent. ; iron or steel wove wire, known as "smut" wire, for thresiing jasehmes, as articles and macorials to be used in the fabrication of goods in the colony, free ; linseed cake, as provisions n.0.R., 20 per cent.; machine for buttonhole stamping and sewing (bootmakers'), as sewing machines, free; test bottles, acid measures, pipettes, of glass, for milk testing, as glassware, 15 per cent.; tree 'washes and insecticides (agricultural and horticultural), an n.0.e., free; vermin-choker or " smoke ferret," cs n.0.e., free.

The total assets amount to £172, and there is a deficiency of £SIS 15s 7d. The Colonial Bank hold a mortgage over a section at Kurow valued at £200, the debt being £153; and Emmanuel Simmons has the book debts (c; timated to produce £200) assigned to him for an advance of £180.—North Otago Times.
