LAWN TENNIS TOURNAMENT.
The Lawn Tennis Championship tournament, held this season in Christohurcb. was bronght to a conclusion at Lancaster Park on the 24-th nit. ia beautiful weather. The play was exceptionally good. The final round in the Men's Championship Singles between Hooper (Auckland) and .Parker (Wellington) produced soma floe tannis. Parker won the opening set by sii games to three, but the Aucidander, playing extremely well, won the nexo three eets and the championship. The following are the details:—
Men's Championship Singles.—Best of five sets. Prize : Cup, value £10 10a. Winner to hold the Champion Challenge Cup for one year. FINAL BOUND. J. R. Hooper (Auckland) beat H. A. Parker (Wellington), 3-G, 6-1, 6-2, 6-1. Men's Champion Doubles. —Best of five setß. Prizes, value £5 5s each. FINAL BOUND. E. D. Harman and F. Wilding (Christchurch) beat P.
