The Chinese ara retiring to a strongly fortified position at Fvmg Whang Chicg for the purpose oi barring the road to Mukden. October 30. It is reported that the young Empress oi China is dead.
Japan is equipping a third army 21,000 strong, which will shortly leave Hiroshima.,
Port Arthur is said to bs completely invested by the Japanese, and it is alleged that the defenos cannot long be maintained.
