FATAL BOAT ACCIDENT.
BOUK MEN DROWNED,
Hokitiiu, October 20. A sad drowning fatality occurred on the river this afternoon. A boat containing two men was seen, coming across about 1.30, there being at the time a strong S.W. wind blowing and a fresh in the river. Off the bar the boat was caught in a cross cnrrtnfc, the sail jibbed, and she capsized immediately and was swept oat to Boa. The occupants woro John M'Donald (aged 60), his son Ronald (16 years), and two men named Kennard and Graham.
