—It has been found that tha colouring matter of the yellow grains cf the pollen of flowers ia identical with the colouring matter of carrots, a substance which, however, is found not only in the carrot, but mixed with the green colouring matter of the leaves of plants, where it is disguised by the preponderance of the green. The colour is gather din oily drops, scattered over the surface of tbe grains. — The eheeso mite ig more tenacious of life than any other insect. A scientist glued one to a pic in order to make a microscopic examination, and in this situation it lived 11 weeks. JUNO PLU9 TOBACCO.
