CHARGE OF CORRUPTION,
Sydney, April 25.
In the Legislative Assembly Mr M'Millan, speaking on Mr Cotton's motion demanding him to retract the allegation of corruption and vote-selling, denied that there was anything to withdraw, nor was there anything to apologise for. Ha declared the report in the papers was perfectly correct, and that the Public Works department was used by tho Government simply as a preat voting machine. Mr Lyne challenged Air M'Millan to prove his assertion, and the latter answered he would do so if a Select Committee was appointed to investigate the matter. Eventually the whole affair fizzled out. A WEATHER WARNING. Bbisbank, April 25. Mr Wragga advises shipping of heavy weather from between -west and south-west by south between Cape Howe and Hobart and the southern half of New Zealand, and to be especially cautious owing to dangerous Antarctic disturbance lat. COS.and 170 long. E. This Mr Wragge considers will cause very rough water over the Taeman Sea in the next few days.
