OTAGO LICENSED VICTUALLERS' ASSOCIATION.

The annual meeting of members was held in the Bull and Mouth Hotel yesterday afternoon. Mr C. F. Greenslade presided, and read the annual report, which congratulated the members on tlie progress made by the association, as evidenced by the increase of membership and the keen interest manifested by those connected with the trade in its work. It noted with pleasure that the Ravensbourne licensing election resulted ni the return of the Moderate candidates, showing that a revulsion of public feeling with regard to prohibition had taken place in that district. It was stated that travellers from Catlin's and Owake districts report that great inconvenience was experienced by them through the absence of public accommodation, and this no doubt will lead the ratepayers of these- districts to reverse their decision at the end of the triennial period. Ihe report concluded by' impressing on the members the necessity of sv staining a strong and effective organisation. The election of officers resulted as follows :— President, Mr C. F. Greenslade (re-elected); vicepresidents, Messrs G. Jacobs and A. Thomson; treasurer, Mr John AVatson ; committee—Messrs G. Bateman, T. Chapman, G. M'Gavin, A. Owen, J. C. Short, P. Fagan, B. Bern, J. AVells, and G. Searle ; auditors, Jlessrs James Barron and G. AY. Geddes; solicitor, Mr Solomon. Mr T. Barnett was reappointed secretary.
