(PaOM OUB OWS OOBBISPOKTIENT.) The uaual fortnightly meeting of the Borough Council was held on Monday evening, Mr M. Fraer (mayor) presiding. Ora Arbuckle, Johnstone, Walker, W. Chalmers, M'lntosh, and Pavidton were present. W. Watsoa having resigned his poiltion as sexton ot the cemetery, It was decided to call for tenderß for cemetery work. The town olerk submitted a statement of probable receipts and expenditure for the year. The expenditure was put down at £1500, and the revenue at £1103. To meet the deficiency, Or Arbuckle give notice of motion for next meeting— " That a rate of Is in the pound be struck on all rateable property," whioh will yield £100. This is irrespective of the receipts from water supply, which yield £250. Several matters of a routine character were attended to, and the meeting closed.
