TOE WELLINGTON CLOTHING TRADE DISPUTE.

(Pee Unitkd Puess Association.) Wellington, February 19. At a meeting of the Trades aud Labour Council, the dispute between the Petone Woollen Company and the operatives was discussed. It was resolved by the council to call upon all members belonging to affiliated unions to refrain from purchasing tho goods manufasturcd by the Wellington Woollen Company. It was further dtcided that the secretary should be instructed to write to the members of trade I couucils throughout the colony, asking their cooperation in boycotting the goods of the company. This action was taken by the council as they considered that the directors of the woollen I company had by their action locked out their | employes.
