SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS.
The monthly meeting of the Otngo School Cbm> missioned was held yesterday, when there were present-Messrs J. P. Mnitland <fn the chair), J_ Walker Bain, J. Green, aiid the Hon. W. H_ Reynolds.
A report was received from Messrs Bain and Green with regard to the Glenledi estate, and it wa* decided to offer the e3tate, consisting of 2717 aer-7a for leaso for H years at the upset price of ] 3 per S Tbe Secretary laid on the table a list of persons whoso reuts were in arrear, and he was instr.iS to take immediate steps for Uiefr recovery ° A letter was received from the Secretary of the Railway department, Wellington, stating that instructions had been given to have a passenger nUt form ereoted at BalfoSr railway station g V The Southland Education Board write a<reeinir in give a school site on sectiou 5, block IX, tfendou, in corne^f seoHMTblock^-The "ecreUry"™' instructed to take the necessary stecs to have the area in section 6 offered for lease.
