SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
A special meeting of the Macandrew road School Committee was held last evening, when there were present Messrs Battsoa (chairman), Henderson, Kobertsun, Clark, Scott, aud Carrick. It was unauimously resolved to recommend Miss Dora S. Lawrence, of Miller's Fiat School, for the position of third assistant. It was further resolved to vote lor Messrs Jaruts Fulton, William Hutchison, aud Dr Steuhouse to (ill I he vacancies on the Education Bu»rd. The vuriousoonimiLtees were appointed,aud the meeting adjourned.

It »ai decided to vole for the following candidate 3 lor the Education Hoard:-Mr G. M. liarr, \':.'h,, Mr James Oreen, and Dr John Kislop.
